The Bergen County (NJ) Chapter of the Links, Incorporated has been selected to receive a Black K.A.R.E. Initiative sub-grant from The Eastern Area of the Links, Incorporated. The primary goal of the Black K.A.R.E. Initiative is to raise awareness of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) in Black communities, with a focus on its risk factors, complications, treatment – and how to reduce the risk of kidney failure and improve outcomes for people living with the condition.
